Student & Young Adult Living
Living while studying, training or starting a career calls for more than a room. Student & Young Adult Living is the Bau Lütz project line for students, people in training, researchers and young adults.
The design brings privacy and social life together: personal spaces for rest and concentration, places to study together, and kitchens and shared areas that encourage encounters without imposing them. Independence, accessibility, light, comfort and clear circulation guide the relationship between housing, services and surroundings. The quality of shared space matters as much as the quality of individual space.
This project line is intended for owners, clients and partners interested in developing these programmes. It is not an offer of accommodation available to rent or book.

INTEGRATED DESIGN
Civil protection shelters and protective architecture
Bau Lütz integrates civil protection into architectural and construction design. Our design experience includes provision for a nuclear shelter in the La Conchiglia project.
Drawing on this experience, we are developing a project line devoted to civil protection shelters and protective architecture for new construction, existing buildings and complex programmes, in Switzerland and internationally.
Structure, envelope, access, building systems, ventilation, materials, autonomy and spatial quality are considered as parts of a single building. Where the project requires it, Bau Lütz brings in and coordinates the necessary engineering and specialist expertise.
In Switzerland, the design is developed within the framework of the requirements applicable to protective structures. For international projects, Swiss experience and technical practice provide a reference, while requirements, performance, authorisations and responsibilities are defined in accordance with the standards and competent authorities at the construction site.
